History
1966 : Pierre Bellon launches Sodexho, founded on Bellon's family experience of more than 60 years in maritime catering for luxury liners and cruise ships. Operations initially serve staff restaurants, schools and hospitals.
1988 : Gardner Merchant, which merged with France based Sodexho to form Sodexho Alliance in 1995, established the predecessor of Sodexho Australia.
1999 : The company adopted the name Sodexho Australia and established an Australian headquarters in Haymarket, Sydney.
2000 : The company secured the contract to provide catering services for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
2002 : Sodexho Australia acquired Minesite Catering, a Perth based remote site business.
2008 : The Group changes its name from Sodexho Alliance to Sodexo. Sodexo rejuvenates its visual identity to fit its leading market position and strategic objectives, including a simpler, contemporary logo design.
